An Important Message from the

Rowntree Players Committee.....

Dear Panto People,

After much deliberation and heart ache we have had to take the difficult decision to delay Dick Whittington until 2021.

We could have considered performing to a small audience with a 3 piece band, no chorus, a limited cast and set and no shout outs from the audience but lets be honest - that would not be the Rowntree Players / Joseph Rowntree Theatre pantomime everybody loves.

We have never done a compromised show and nor do we want to start to.

So……..Dick Whittington will happen, but in 2021.

The script is locked in a secure vault in Alderman Fitzwarren’s bank ready for auditions in Summer next year.

That doesn’t mean we are relaxing!   We have finally started to clear the store after our catastrophic fire back in January.

We will then get ahead on the set, and the plays for 2021 and Howard and Andy will start to write a panto for 2022!

So stay in touch and keep sending us the social media love!

Let us know how you're managing to perform and post your showbiz achievements. We always love to hear about what you have been up to.

Until next year keep singing and dancing.

THE MISSING PEACE

Owing to the current Theatre restrictions imposed because of the COVID 19 virus, this production has been postponed.

We hope to re-schedule this production in 2021 - watch this space!
